Forward.

I’m Home!

And when I say home, because I understand it’s a little confusing these days, I mean Vancouver!

I arrived on Saturday morning and it feels so nice to be back.

After my 3 months hiatus, it’s nice to not move on, but move forward.

My first night back, I met up with my best friend Andy! Oh gosh how I missed that face.

We went for sushi which I didn’t take a picture of, but it was lovely.

Sunday, I got right back into my usual routine and headed to spin with Corinna. A 1 hour weekender class at Eastwood and oh lawd… a doozy after eating nothing but Christmas cookies for the last 2 months.

Anyway, after that, we headed across to street to Pure Bread bakery.

Two words: LIFE CHANGING.

Swoon. And not a good idea for my waste line. However, they serve Stumptown Coffee and that’s always good in my books.

Sunday evening, I headed to Yoga on Ice at Rogers Arena.

What’s that you ask? Yoga with Alex Burrows, Shawn Matthias, and a few other Canucks. I don’t actually watch hockey, so I couldn’t recognize these guys walking down the street, but it was really fun to do yoga with them!

Fast forward a few days and we’re onto Tuesday. I’ve been making coffee in this contraption:

I make it wrong every single day. WAY too strong. I always have to add water. One day, I’ll get it right ;)

Tuesday night I went to Distrikt with Andy for a Crush Hush class.

Oh hot damn, this class. First portion is a solid workout where you feel absolutely gassed. Second portion is yoga – thank the lawd.

I am unbelievably sore today. But that’s what we want right?

    OHH A percolator, how fun!! When you say too strong, is it coming out biter at all? If yes, this is because with this device it boils water into the grounds multiple times which can cause over-extraction of the grounds. Similar to leaving your coffee in a French press too long. They say for this to use a lower acidic and SMOOTH coffee roast to help with that. Give it a try? You typically only need one tblsp per cup or COARSE ground coffee too, but I’m sure you’ve done your homework on this so I’ll stop.

    Your spin class straight to bakery routine sounds fantastic and I want to come.

      Oh I just love ya! You’re like my little coffee guru!! Yeah I noticed that I thought it takes way longer than I thought for it to brew and my coffee was BOILING in the little contraption – YIKES! So, I’ve been watching it so it doesn’t boil and also added one-less scoop of coffee cause there were just TOO many and now its coming out wonderfully! You DA BEST! <3

    ahhhhh that coffee shop!!!! those pastries!!!!! those Canucks butts!!!!! AMAZING! And yes to the ghetto booty…Francis has always had a hard time buying pants that fit properly lol…he’s gonna love me for saying that :)
